Beautiful and soul-stirring!

Deepest Waters by Dan Walsh is a beautiful tale of enduring love and is my favorite of his novels thus far. The historical detail is vivid, but in no way overdone, the characters are powerfully drawn and displayed (both main characters and secondary). Conflict oozes from every page, either internal or external, with a continual thread of hope as an undercurrent to read to the end.

Not only is it based on a beautiful love story, but the various class differences are also shown…and redefined in a way that shows God’s view of people. Equals. I loved the way Dan brought this out as a subplot to the story.

There is suspense, heart-ache, history, family dyanamics, and the continual tide of God’s love. A wonderful story with an ending that was well worth the storm.
