dawn_in_my_heart_cover_smTis the season for regency romances in my life, so I’d like to share with you the delights of this season and encourage you to delve into a beautiful trinity of romance, intrigue, and God’s grace framed within early 19th century England.

Not only is there a taste of England, but the delicacies of two people learning through life, fumbling through mistakes, and attempting to figure out the intricacies of love, flow within the pages of these novels. Today, I want to introduce you to Dawn in My Heart by Ruth Axtell Morren and tomorrow, I’m pleased to post a review about Linore Rose Burkard’s latest romance The House in Grosvenor Square along with an interview.

Dawn in My Heart is a beautifully crafted novel of man’s humanness and God’s grace. Lord Skylar, returned from the atrocities of war, must marry – for the sole purpose of producing an heir. Love, romance – even friendship are not his primary concerns. He takes the advice of his uncle to make a match for him in the lovely Lady Gillian, but their marriage begins with misunderstandings and secrets. Forced apart by hurt and bitterness, it takes an extreme love to begin the hope of rectifying this devastated marriage. When Lord Skylar’s heart is changed by God’s amazing grace, will it be too late for him to mend all the damage his anger has caused his wife? Will she find the ability to forgive him or allow herself to seek compassion…and possibly more…in the arms of her first love?

Ruth Axtel Morren’s novel is a spectacular romance about true love of the most intimate type – a man, a woman, and their Savior. This story takes two broken people and places them in the Master Craftsman’s guiding hands to wholeness, together. I’ve read the last two chapters about six times since I first read the novel two days ago. Their tenderness and poignancy is spectacular. Bravo, Ruth, I can’t wait to read more of your books.
