Cathedral of the Peaks

St. John the Baptist in Tideswell is a lovely 14th century church. It is known as the “Cathedral of the Peaks’ because it is one of the largest churches in the area. These other pictures include more interior views of the church – organ, the wooden screen which separates the Nave from the Chancel, and various tombs. The stained-glass windows were especially large and beautiful.
