Haddon Hall – A Grand Home Worth Seeing

by | Sep 27, 2008 | Fiction Book Reviews | 0 comments

The next several pictures are going to be from our visit to Haddon Hall. This grand house was one of my favorite stops on our trip to England. It is a preserved 12th century Hall used in many popular movies. Some scenes from the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice were filmed here, some scenes from Elizabeth and from The Other Boleyn Girl. Almost all of BBC’s newest version of Jane Eyre was filmed here as well as Masterpiece Theater’s adaptation of Northanger Abbey, but a film even more widely known which presented Haddon Hall as the castle home of Prince Humperdink is The Princess Bride.
