Not to EVER disagree with Mary Poppins, but covers DO matter. Don’t you think? I’m drawn to a cover and get a “feel” for the book by seeing the cover. Recently, I’ve found some lovely but very different ones.
Here are a few. Which ones stand out to you, and why? What draws your attention?
Here are a few of mine! I adore MOST of the covers of my books, but there are some I love a little more than others. Can you guess which ones are a few of my favoritres?
I’ve always loved the cover of A Twist of Faith. It makes me happy every time I see it.
Covers that include children or animals are winners for me.
I love seeing happy people, don’t you? 🙂
Wow – you have shared some beautiful covers. Of the ones you shared, my favorites are The Spotlight and Shadow because I anticipate some mystery and intrigue. Where the Last Rose Blooms displays simple elegance and beauty. Life Flight signals the suspense and danger that I can see coming with a chopper in the mountains. As for your book covers, I really like all the ones you’ve chosen. I would personally add The Red Ribbon – there’s just something I love about the black and white cover with the pop of color from the ribbon that draws my attention (that’s why I had to get a print copy lol). And then, I would also add The Thorn Keeper simply because it’s one of my favorite stories and seeing the cover always makes me think of one the best stories and couples in historical CF.
LOVE your responses, Andrette. Rachel’s cover is lovely, isn’t it? It definitely makes me want to pick up the book! And Ashley’s is soooo elegant. (I adore the Thorn Keeper for the same reasons)
I like real people on the covers. My publisher does a great job creating mine. I love yours and Kristy Cambron’s.
Oooh, Kristy’s are fabulous, aren’t they??
my favorite cover of yours is Jane by the Book. (the story is a must-read. Truly loved it.)
Rachel’s book cover is wonderful, intriguing, and the kind that would cause me to turn to the first page and gobble up the words! Agatha’s cover does a great job of capturing the story right on the cover. BTW this, too, is a great story.
Being Irish “The Lady of Galway stands out to me. “The Mistletoe Countess”, “Autumn By The Sea” and “Kiss The Girl” also got my attention.
Marion
“In Spotlight And Shadow”, “Where The Last Rose Blooms”, “The Lady Of Galway Manor”. I like clean covers, that’s always important to me to decide weather or not I read something. I’m not saying the others aren’t clean, this is just what I picked.
And of Pepper Basham’s books I’ve read “Hope Between The Pages”, I liked that one.
Of hers I would pick “Hope Between The Pages”, “Jane By The Book” and “The Heart Of The Mountains”, they look interesting.
Thanks so much!! Those covers are lovely, aren’t they?
