Post ACFW part 1

I think that any conference I attend which allows me to fellowship with friends who are not only kindred hearts & minds, but kindred spirits, is a successful conference. Add to that some wonderful courses, opportunities to meet with agents and editors, AND fabulous worship – and it’s out-of-the-ballpark.

So, I just wanted to show you a few of my pics today  and maybe chat about some of the classes later.

Hopefully next week I’ll start a post conference series about various people I met and info I learned.

Let’s start off with the best of the best. Meeting my fellow Alley Cats from The Writers Alley. Here’s a picture of us all dolled up for the banquet….but if you look a little bit to the right, you’ll see a picture that better reflects our personalities 😉

We’re a crazy bunch – just wait until ALL TEN of us get together some day. But I am SOOOO thankful for these ladies. They are inspirational to the core with a heart to encourage. God couldn’t have blessed me with a better bunch. Thanks, Casey, Mary, Sherrinda, Krista, Angie, Julia, Sarah, Wendy, and Cindy. You all are wonderful!!

Then there are the FABULOUS authors – like the gentle, sweet, and super Laura Frantz.

Oh man, I just love that picture. Doesn’t Laura have one of the sweetest smiles?!? And she’s wearing one my family heirlooms – my Granny Spencer’s lovely shawl.

Here’s one of the ladies who opened the door for me into inspirational fiction writing – Mary Connealy.

And then there is the Seeker I’ve been dying to meet for the past year – Ruth Logan Herne

Let’s not forget about making new friends – like roomy, Carol Moncado, who was a HILARIOUS addition to the Alley Cat trio of Casey Herringshaw and Mary Vee.

Alright – I HAVE to put up a picture of one of the most beautifully spirited people I got to hang out with this year (for the SECOND time).

Fellow Alley Cat, Angie Dicken, is one of the best people to know. She’s talented, kind, and looks WAY TOO GOOD after just having had a baby. I’ll forgive her for that because shes’s do daggone sweet.
