Anyone still swooning from last week? I am – and boy has it been a fun. But don’t sigh your last. There are still two beautiful weeks of lip-locking action going on right here, and I have a wonderful lineup to prove it 🙂

Hopeless Romantic

I’m a hopeless romantic. I will take no disguise.

I admit getting lost in some make-believe eyes.

I often quote prose to invisible men,

And am found in odd places with paper and pen.

I’m a hopeless romantic. I confess with a grin.

Though I know my profession some regard as a sin.

I enjoy taking walks in the springtime at night

And find the moon’s glow an inspiring delight.

I’m a hopeless romantic, with no shame I admit.

For the practical thinker I care not a wit.

My world is alight with my rose-colored glasses

And I love getting lost in a book as time passes.

I’m a hopeless romantic. Fairytales do come true.

Any storm brings adventure from a new point of view.

And the sweet kiss of love can awake hearts of stone.

In truth, we romantics are never alone.

I’m a hopeless romantic. I confess it is true.

From all of my options, I prefer this world view.

And if forced I can tell fact and fiction a part,

But a hopeless romantic is the beat of my heart.

PEPPER!!! What a GREAT poem!! And I echo its beautiful sentiments to the nth degree!!

And what a lineup you have this week, girl, kicking off with one of my top-two FAVS in Christian romance — Liz Curtis Higgs!!! Whoo-eee, girl, can’t wait for that one!! Then you move on to a star-shine newcomer like Erica Vetsche who I am DYING to read, followed by one of my dearest friends who beats me out at contests WAY more than I like, Janet Dean, to another good friend and fabulous writer, Margaret Daly, and then ending up with more star power in the ever-popular Denise Hunter!!! Guess where I’m going to be spending a lot of MY time this week????

You are super sweet. I think we have the makings of a beautiful friendship. Both pastor’s wives, both writers, both a little too crazy for most typical people. What a great combo 😉
