Well, I’m slow to the post lately, but I’m trying to finish up a manuscript for some editors – so…that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it. 🙂
Now for some lovely pictures for the Jane Austen Soul. While in Derbyshire, we visited the “Palace of the Peaks” – Chatsworth Hall. Chatsworth is used as Pemberley in the 2005 version of P & P. Here are a few pics and more will follow.

It truly does glitter in the sunlight – absolutely lovely…and the setting is gorgeous. Lush green forests and fields surround it, with emmaculate gardens…and a maze 🙂

This is fantastic! Can you imagine actually living in a place like this? Wait, I just thought of what a pain it would be to clean a place like this–being a servant here would have been a nightmare!

I think if we lived in it, we could afford gobs of servants, don't you? 😉 It definitely was beautiful. Haddon Hall was my favorite – I think because it felt less touristy and more authentic, but Chatsworth was amazing…and the grounds were superb. I can't wait to go back.
