I posted something about this book a few days ago, but now’s your chance to win a free copy of it. All you have to do is leave a comment with your email address, so I can place your name in a drawing for Friday, August 7th.
Ransom’s Honor is a sweet, intriguing, regency era novel and the first in a series of three. Each consecutive book seems to have more and more suspense involved, which is something I like. I don’t mind romance, but I’m an Indiana Jones/Pride and Prejudice kind of girl. Weird combo, I know, but I can sit down and watch The Patriot with as much interest as Sense and Sensibility.
Now – a little about the book.
If you are a fan of Jane Austen’s Persuasion, you’ll enjoy this book. Julia Witherington and William Ransome have both held onto their unrequited love for the other, oblivious to the others’ feelings. Separated twelve years before by social status, expectations, and misunderstandings, the two are suddenly forced together again.
Both Julia and William hold their own unforgiveness and distrust of the other, but the affections each has for the other have not died over time, and as their lives braid together again, the line between unforgivness and lasting love becomes blurred.
Will they allow misunderstandings and bitterness to steal their opportunity for a second chance? Will someone else find a way to capture Julia’s heart before William can reveal his love?
