My two cents worth
This was a delightful read and extension of the wonderful novel by Jane Austen. Elizabeth Aston (who was named for Elizabeth Bennett) takes the reader beyond Mr. Darcy & Elizabeth’s lives to include the next generation of Bingley’s & Darcy’s. I thought it was cleverly written and it made me want to go back and read the other ‘Darcy-inspired’ novels by Aston, such as Mr. Darcy’s Daughters and The Exploits & Adventures of Miss Alethea Darcy. The heros, Mr. Stanhope and Mr. Drummond, were excellent – right along the lines of true Austen heros. 🙂 Lovely read.
I’ve heard of these books before, but nothing in depth. I was kinda leery about them, though, being a die hard Austin fan. I think I’ll give them a try and see what happens.Thanks for sharing!!
