The White Tower

The most notable landmark in the Tower of London is the White Tower. Begun by William the Conqueror and later completed by his sons, this structure formed the main part of the Castle for many years. The White Tower was the home of many of the earlier kings of England, as well as the central hub of medieval English governnment.

Currently the White Tower is an armory, displaying hundreds of years of weapons and armor used by kings and notable men and women.

Outside the White Tower, one can see some cannons on dispaly as well as the infamous ravens of the Tower.
