Entering…..THE TOWER OF LONDON

Okay, so for others like myself who enjoy history, this was a fantastic treat! The Tower – full of mystery, history, sadness, unrequited love, and suspense.

A little bit of history: The Tower of London was built in 1066 by William the Conqueror. Yeah, it’s a pretty old building.

It’s been a royal palace, a prison, an execution area, an armory, home of priceless jewels, and had a zoo.

It is rumored that King Edward IV’s two sons were murdered here by their uncle Richard III and their bodies were buried under a stairway. Oooh! Besides the fact that two of King Henry VIII wives were executed here along with many other notable guests, such as Sir Walter Raleigh.

There were many people inprisoned here, including Princess Elizabeth who became the famous Queen.
