This is ME…starting again

by | Oct 1, 2025 | Uncategorized | 19 comments

You know, I’ve been trying to figure out another way to connect with folks and I realized that one of my favorite things I did early on in my writing was blog.

If you’ve been with me from the beginning, you also know that my blogging was not consistent, but at least it was more than 2x a year.  (Yes, my bad!)

Anyway, I’m thinking of starting posts again and would love your input. What would you like to read about?

Here are some options:

Writing life (The behind the scenes look at the writing life including research, difficult parts, fun parts etc)

Personal life (Life as a wife, mom, slp, person 🙂

Faith talks (short devotional or thoughts related to my faith)

Travel talks (Oh the places we can go 😉

Movie talks (I adore movies and also adore talking about them so…)

Book talks (book reviews)

I’d love to get your thoughts on what you’d like to see!

What’s slp? I think they all sound great! How about a different category each time? That would keep you interested and make it easier for you, plus we would all enjoy getting to know you.

    Hey Pepper,
I love all those topics and would love a smattering of each. But if I have to pick just one, then it would be your writing life and any tips you could give us authors still struggling to get our writing out in the world. Research tips, the difficult parts and all the things 😊

Book reviews, news on your books, travel, family news (just chit chat nothing too personal with children etc)

I think I read that you moved recently? I’d be interested in knowing what prompted the move, what you are doing to acclimate to your new location, etc.

Hey Pepper: All of the subjects you mentioned would be of interest to me but
I know you will have to narrow it down, will go with the majority!
Still miss all of you except your precious Aaron and Samuel who I see every week! God bless!!

Any of these things would be interesting. I’ve read recently that sharing the behind the scenes stuff about writing a book makes readers more likely to buy the book. I guess readers feel they have had input to the process.

    Peppy,
I’d be interested in hearing more about your writing life. I miss blogs like Seekerville and, yes, the Alley Cats. Your family is beautiful and fun, but you cover them pretty adequately on Facebook.
I’d also like to hear more about your time management (I DON’T have five kids and a full-time job, but it’s still hard to get things done). Anyway, make of this what you will.
