Sallit – do you know what I’m talkin’ bout?

Ever heard this word before?

In my neck of the woods it refers to those greasy looking cooked spinach, also called creasies (Creasy greens). My granny and her contemporaries referred to it as sallit more than creasies, as far as I can remember.  Lots of times they were cooked with bacon and eaten with a good helpin’ of salt and vinegar.

What about you? Do you know what they are? If so, how do you eat them?
