Bad Blogger Confession

Okay.

I’ve been a bad blogger this week.

Good intentions, good excuses…for the most part, but very bad blogging

So, as part of my confession, I’m going to take you on a visual trip of my ‘getaway’ the past few days. My best friend and I went away for an overnight at a lovely Inn in the mountain town of Gatlinburg, TN. It was called the Hippensteal Mountain View Inn.

We hadn’t been away together in 17 years, since the night before my best friend’s wedding. Since then, we’ve both added 5 kids to our families and going away as buddies doesn’t happen…until now!!

It was a great time of fun, fellowship, and fascinating views.

As I’ve been contemplating the ‘hero’ characteristics, I think one thing that is so attractive about a hero, is that he has potential (or already is) of becoming a best friend. Someone who is just fun to hang out with and talk to. Add the great back pockets, sexy smile, strength, compassion, and wit – and you have the perfect hero. IMO.

So – here are a few pics from my trip, in the hopes that this ‘bad blogger’ will get her act together for next week and talk about some more heroes.

Have a great weekend.

Pepper, I’m glad you and your best gal pal had a wonderful time.

I love it when a hero becomes the heroine’s best friend. My Gwynly is mine. 😀

Oh Pepper, I am so glad you got to get away! I am sure it was well deserved and much needed! My parent’s loved going to Gatlinburg when they lived in Nashville. It is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing your pictures. 🙂

Repeat after me — I am NOT a bad blogger!!

Everybody needs a break now and then, and it certainly looks as if you got it, girl — I am SO thrilled for you!! Cut yourself some slack, okay?

    Hugs,
    Julie
