One of my favorite things about our trip was discovering all the walled gardens. Most old homes had walled gardens and there was something fascinating and mysterious about them. I could see the trees growing up over the wall, maybe even some vines, but if the door was close (as it was in this picture) I had to imagine what it must be like inside.
